1. Meditate for 5 Minutes at the Beginning of Each day

Although meditation is often seen as a religious or spiritual exercise, it can be used at the beginning of your day to help you remain calm and centered. This will allow you to approach your work with an aura of calmness instead of one of aggressiveness.

• Use 5 minutes of meditation to calm your spirit. Allow it to center your mind so you can feel relaxed about the day ahead.

2. Use 5 Minutes to Plan Your Day

Now that you’re relaxed and centered, take 5 minutes to plan your day. Organizing your tasks will allow you to be more productive with less stress.

• Prioritize your tasks based on their importance. This way you can work on what’s most important first.

3. Take a 5 Minute Review

This can be done once at the end of the day, or in one-minute intervals throughout your day. Review how well you’ve stuck to your plan. Have you concentrated on your most important tasks?

• A review will allow you to readjust your task’s priorities, if necessary. This review allows you to take unforeseen circumstances into account. This can prevent these unexpected events from putting a monkey wrench in your plan.

4. Take 5 Minutes to Wind Down

At the end of the day, take 5 minutes to decompress. Just sit and let your mind relax. This will help you relieve the stress that’s built up throughout your day.

• Do something that helps you relax. Listen to some classical music, do some deep breathing exercises, jump in the Jacuzzi.  Do anything that will help you calm down and relax.
