Focus on the Positive

Focus on the PositiveFocus on the Positive

“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.”Groucho Marx
As Groucho points out in the above quote above, you have the power to focus on the positive or the negatives in your life. You can think about what’s good in your life or what’s stressing you out.
Anxiety is a direct result of what you focus on. The good news you have a choice.

How to Focus on the Positive

While it can be challenging, you can choose your thoughts. You can decide what you focus on. Why not make your focus positive?
Recall your favorite memories. Make a list of the positive things in your life.
First thing in the morning read something positive, watch a positive video on YouTube, or listen to a positive recording. At lunch, take a moment to reflect on what’s good in your life. Find a book of positive quotes a read one or two to yourself.
At night before you go to bed read a few pages from a book that helps you focus on the positive and think positive thoughts. This will reduce your anxiety and help you have a better night’s sleep.
That’s it! Now keep an eye out for your next anxiety reducing tip.
