Accepting Others

Everyone has their own ideals, opinions and beliefs.

Accepting those differences helps me to understand others. Understanding others allows me to live my life in harmony with the world around me.

Throughout my life I have been exposed to many differing ideals, opinions and beliefs. Accepting those differences allows me to see the world from the other’s point of view.

Although I may not always be in agreement with them, I accept their ideas, opinions and beliefs as valid and I will do my best to try to understand.

I realize I do not know their travels. I have not been on tier path. Therefore I will do my best to walk a mile in their shoes.

This allows me accept other people’s differences.

I strive to respect the diversity of those around me while staying aligned with my beliefs.

Differing views can cause disagreements in my community, workplace and social circles.

That’s why I strive to stay open-minded while encouraging positive dialogue because I this is the only way I can start to understand.

I realize that understanding others must come before anyone can understand me.

My motto is to be tolerant of others opinions, ideas and beliefs. This allows them psychological comfort.

That comfort is the starting place for real dialog and understanding. By showing acceptance I help to maintain an uplifting, peaceful environment.

Accepting others to me is a means to a positive end.
