For example, if you subject your body to intense levels of physical exertion every morning by running with no meaning behind it, you’ll probably lose interest.

On the other hand, if you’re training to run a marathon, you’ll probably be motivated to spend significant amounts of time running every day.

• A great way to motivate yourself is reminding yourself every day why you’re doing all the preparation. By focusing on your “why” you’ll find your better able to focus your energy into the preparation you need to achieve the results you’re looking for.

• While it’s important to focus on the reason you’re doing something, if you can’t come up with a compelling reason, maybe you should be doing something else.

3. Believe that YOU CAN

As you work day in and day out, the grind can cause you to question yourself and your abilities.

Every day review your positive traits and have faith that your skills and hard work will pay off. If you don’t review your positive attributes regularly you’ll find yourself planting a seed of doubt in everything that you do.

• Having faith in yourself means continuing to move in the direction of your goals even when you’re not clear where your steps will take you. This means that, even if you’re not sure exactly how you’re going to achieve your goal, you can still take steps towards that goal, knowing in your heart that you’ll be able to successfully overcome any challenges as they appear.
