What are you attracting into your life? According to the law of attraction what you think about is what you receive.

If you think about limitations, you’ll encounter barriers that block you from achieving your goals. While this limiting mindset may stem from a difficult childhood, low self-esteem, or past failures, as long as you allow these barriers to exists you’ll never be able to live the life of your dreams.

You will attract what you think about. As long as you focus on past upsets and missteps you’ll never be able to feel good about yourself because you’ll fear failing again.

Here’s How You Can Use the Law of Attraction to Unlock Your Potential:

1. Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

There is always going to be someone smarter, stronger, or better looking than you. Get over it! Even if you are not the best at something, you can still be extremely successful, as long as you put in the effort.

• Just because you’re not good at something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. There’s a good chance that the things you’re really good at today you were not especially good at initially.

• Stop worrying about failing.  It’s okay if you try and don’t succeed. Failing to try is the only true failure. As long as you are learning each failure brings you closer to ultimate success.

2. Put in More Effort

In the martial arts there are very few people who are very good at kicking the first time they attempt it. That’s because it’s not natural to stand on one leg and swing the other in the air. When I look back I really wasn’t good at kicking in the beginning and, like most people I had to struggle to learn balance. In order to become better I had to put in extra effort and practice.

• As Thomas Edison would tell you, a new invention is more about hard work than about being brilliant.  In fact he once said, “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”  To make any dream of yours a success will take lots and lots of effort.

• Stop worrying about what might go wrong. Just focus on what you want and get to work. Your efforts are what will get the law of attraction working for you.

3. Set Goals

In order to get anywhere you have to have destination in mind. The same goes for your achievements, you need to have a clear understanding of where you want to go. Once you know where you’re going it’s a lot easier to figure out how to get there.

• Goals should be realistic goals, but not comfortable. If you set unachievable goals you’ll become discouraged and give up on the process. Instead make challenging, yet attainable goals.

• Simple goals are not goals and won’t give you sense of accomplishment. In order to  motivate yourself your goals need to stretch your abilities.

4. Get a Coach

Ask any athlete how they have improved their performance and they’ll tell you a great deal of their success comes from working with their coach. The problem is an athlete isn’t able to see their weaknesses and they often have difficulty building upon their strengths.  A coach can help take an athlete to a level they would be unable to get to by themselves.

• Athletes aren’t the only ones that can benefit from coaching. You can talk to career coaches, life coaches, or someone else who can help you achieve success.

5.  Shift Your Thinking         

The way you look at things can make a thing possible or impossible.

• For example, at one time it was believed that no one could run less than a four minute mile. Many believed that this wasn’t humanly possible. Then Roger Bannister ran it less than 4 minutes on May 6, 1954.

• The year after Roger Bannister ran his 4 minute mile, 37 other runners were also able to accomplish the same feat. The year after that, 300 runners were able to run a mile in under 4 minutes. Since then thousands of runners have run the mile in less than 4 minutes.

• It was a shift in mindset that allowed these runners to run the below four minute mile. After Roger Banister they believed it was possible.
