How to amplify your attitude of gratitude

Does it seem like others are being showered by blessings and you are just being passed by? Does it feel like you’ve been overlooked for all the good things in life?

Do you feel cheated because of how much your friends and family members have? While they are showered with blessing you struggle to make ends meet each day?

Those blessings are available to you also. They are easily within your reach. You can have them merely by making more room for them in your life.

How, you ask? You can do this simply by amplifying your attitude of gratitude.

Here are some easy tips you can put to use today that, once you make a habit of them, will bring an avalanche of blessings into your life:

  1. Let go of resentment

Do you hold resentments and grudges against people in your life? Let them go!                Otherwise even blessings seem like burdens.

A lack of forgiveness eats at your soul and clouds your life with negative energy. This type of attitude blocks blessings from flowing into your life.

  • Honestly try to forgive. The negative things you hold on to don’t add any value to your life, in fact they can sink your happiness. No matter how hard as it is, you’ll instantly feel lighter when you allow yourself to forgive.
  • If you can’t resolve the issue take the high road. Agree to disagree and move on to more important things.
  1. Let go of past setbacks.

If you are carrying around baggage, setbacks and heartbreaks from the past, you’ll never be able to notice the wonderful blessings in front of your face! Let go of that old, negative baggage.

  • Did you have a relationship that didn’t work out? Okay, ask, yourself, “What did I learn so I can do better the next time?” and resolve to learn and leave it behind you. Whatever that old setback is, decide to let it go so you can focus on being the best you that you can be now.
  • While you might get sympathy by wallowing in sadness it will never give you happiness. Even worse, it can blind you from all the blessings that are coming your way.

The real problem is that if all you see is darkness, you’ll only attract negativity in your life. Make a commitment to free yourself of the weight of your past setbacks so you can live the life you deserve.

  1. Do random acts of kindness.

You will get back form life exactly what you put out. Be kind to others because it’s a good investment. The attitude you throw out to those around you will make its way back to you. Make every effort to be kind and caring to everyone today.

  • You are presented with countless opportunities to be kind each day. Even if you can’t afford to get the homeless man on the corner a place to live you can smile and say good morning as you give him a dollar.
  • Only say uplifting things to and about others, especially those who have offended you.
  1. Recognize every blessing, even the tiniest ones.

You may think that your life isn’t full of blessings because you are only looking for gigantic ones. But what about the small ones, have you taken the time to express your gratitude for them? Even the smallest ones add value to your life. If you want to continue receiving them, recognize and count them.

  • Can you see? Just being able to see the sunrise each day is a blessing in itself! Can you hear? How do the birds sound to you today? When you have this type of attitude it magnifies the things you can be grateful for.
  1. Decide to give everything your best effort!

Nobody is happy when they are giving minimal efforts. Everything you are given to do is worth doing well so decide to produce the best quality work you can. It’s only by giving your best effort can you learn how to grow and improve. This will bring you the rewards you are looking for.

  • Remember, it doesn’t matter what’s going on outside of you. Ignore the fact you haven’t had a pay increase in a year. Keep giving your best anyway. That will make you feel good about yourself and can even motivate you to find a better paying job.
  • Always do your best. The universe will notice and you’ll be rewarded with amazing blessings when the right time comes.
