Some people have a little difficulty understanding NLP. So, today we’re going to give you a better understanding by defining Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Defining Neuro-Linguistic Programming:
Let’s break down Neuro-Linguistic Programming and define each word individually:
Neuro – is what you’re thinking. The neurology of your brain.
Linguistic – is what you’re saying. In Neuro-Linguistic Programming we look at more than your words. We also examine your body language and the way you use your voice to express yourself.
Programming – is what you’ve learned throughout your lifetime. It comes from the world of computers. It also examines how different input can change your thinking and actions.
NLP has been around since the 1970s. It was a result of research by two University of Santa Cruz professors, Richard Bandler and John Grinder. Because of their education, they often expressed their research using complicated terminology.
As a result, its seeming complexity has turned people off from learning more about it.
That was one of the biggest reasons I wrote NLP: Unlock Your Dreams. My goal was to help as many people as possible learn the basics of Neuro-Linguistic Programming so they could apply it in their lives.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is an extraordinary method of helping us understand ourselves. It helps to explain why we do what we do. This understanding can lead to living more productive lives.
Defining Neuro-Linguistic Programming can help you better understand it. This understanding can give you a different perspective. This new perspective can open your mind to new possibilities.
Using NLP processes and techniques you will become more committed to your goals and aspirations. This knowledge will provide you with more energy. You can use this energy to create momentum you need to carry you through to the success you desire in all areas of your life.
Stop Fighting Yourself!
Nearly all psychologist agree that we have two minds. These are the conscious and subconscious. Often, your conscious and subconscious are in conflict.
One of the main advantages of learning NLP is to be able to get your conscious and subconscious minds to work together. This will help you get done what you’re trying to accomplish.
That’s it For Today
My hope was by defining Neuro-Linguistic Programming you would have a better grasp on its uses in your life. Hopefully you’ve learned enough to stick around and learn some more.
