“NLP provides a systematic framework for directing our own brain. It teaches us how to direct not only our own states and behaviors, but also the states and behaviors of others. In short, it is the science of how to run your brain in an optimal way to produce the results you desire.” – Tony Robbins
As a Master NLP Practitioner and Hypnotist people often ask me “What is NLP?” The easiest explanation I have is “NLP is a method anyone can use to develop success in your life.” Continue reading →
“A desire to be in charge of our own lives, a need for control, is born in each of us. It is essential to our mental health, and our success, that we take control.” –Robert Foster Bennett
As America’s #1 Mental Fitness Coach people often ask me to give them quick methods from advanced hypnotherapy (hypnosis) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) that they can use to improve their mental, physical or spiritual fitness. I have to explain to them that there really is no “quick fix”, that all of these take work. I also explain that none of these can be addressed by themselves, their mental, physical or spiritual fitness are all interrelated.
In order to have fitness in one area you have to work at developing fitness in the other areas also. You need to take care of your mental, spiritual and physical health. You need to develop a balanced life. Continue reading →
“Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future.” –Charles F. Kettering
I often see clients that want to use the techniques found in advanced hypnotherapy (hypnosis) and Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP) to get more out of life. They tell me that they want to gain more confidence and raise their self esteem so that they can break out of their comfort zone and develop the life of their dreams.
One of the first things I ask these clients when they come into my San Diego office is, “What are your goals?”
What’s interesting is that many of these clients give me the “what are you talking about Willis?” look. The one that tells me they haven’t ever thought about what they want in life and wonder why they aren’t happy. If they haven’t thought about this then how would they know if they are happy? “Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.” – B.K.S. Iyengar
People ask me all the time how I have the energy to get so much done. Since I’m a health coach that uses advanced hypnotherapy (hypnosis) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help people improve their health I hallucinate (imagine) that they often think that I’ll tell them “All you have to do is come to my office (located in San Diego), go through a few sessions and you’ll feel great.”
As much as I’d like to believe that was true, there’s a lot more to it than that. Just like everything else in life, in order to obtain optimum health and energy, conscious effort needs to be involved.
How Do You Increase Your Energy?
With the way life is, and all that you have to do it can be very difficult to stay energized all day. As a result you may reach for different energy boosters to get you through the afternoon. After all, when so much is expected of you, it’s seems natural to use a variety of substances to keep yourself pumped up. Continue reading →
“If you want to succeed in the world must make your own opportunities as you go on. The man who waits for some seventh wave to toss him on dry land will find that the seventh wave is a long time a coming. You can commit no greater folly than to sit by the roadside until some one comes along and invites you to ride with him to wealth or influence.” – John B. Gough
Over the years I’ve talked with lots of clients and friends about how the powerful techniques of advanced hypnotherapy (hypnosis) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) can help you live the life of your dreams. I find that many people have very interesting expectations of these therapies. Some people think that that all they have to do is go through a few sessions and then – whamo – their life changes overnight, magically, with no effort of their own.
Well for those of you that think that all you have to do is to go to a few hypnosis and/or NLP sessions to completely change your life I’m here to inform you that this just isn’t true. Although these therapies can be very powerful for shifting your focus, advanced hypnotherapy and NLP are not substitutes for preparing your mind – and therefore your life – for success. You have to do a little work by deciding on the type of life you want to live and the steps necessary to achieve them. While advanced hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) can help you with this process it is no substitute for actually sitting down and using your conscious brain to decide what you’d like your life to be like. In Part 1 of “How to Transform Your Life” we looked at the 3 steps to setting and achieving goals:
1. Set your goal.
2. Monitor your results (feedback)
3. Adjust your behavior until you achieve your desired outcome
Like I mentioned in part one, I have clients who come to me looking for hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP to change their lives while having no idea of the result they are looking for. In order to get anything in life you have to set an outcome. That was part 1. Now let’s look at part 2.
As a coach that helps people develop their potential I have had a number of clients that come to me wanting to change. So the first thing I do is ask them what they want. Many times they tell me some fuzzy thing that they want or what they don’t want. I have to explain that if they want shift to happen, neither of these approaches works.
Three Steps to Setting and Achieving Goals
Setting and achieving goals is actually simple if you follow three steps. These steps are: Continue reading →
“Who has confidence in himself will gain the confidence of others.” – Leib Lazarow
I’m hallucinating (for me to hallucinate means to imagine) that sometimes things happen that result in you developing self doubt. I’m also hallucinating that when you doubt yourself your self-esteem and confidence suffer. That’s normal. Everyone is affected by low self-esteem and low self confidence every once in a while. It’s when low self-esteem is ongoing, when low self confidence seems to be the norm that problems arise.
I work with all types of people. Clients come to me to help them using hypnosis and Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP in my San Diego office for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes those reasons revolve around low self confidence and esteem. Today I’d like to talk about how to build your self confidence and self-esteem and give you a couple of techniques that can help you gain confidence instantaneously. Continue reading →
